do you ever have a moment where you start to think your life is so busy that something has got to give? coming from a person who has a tough time saying no, i can tell you i pack our lives full! just about the time i think i know what needs to be removed from the list, it rewards me in some way that makes me pause and be thankful i have it in my life.
my feet hurt, my eyes are barely remaining open, and i didn't get my morning cup of coffee... however, i had a really wonderful day in this pouring rain participating in a community event that hopefully makes a difference in the lives of some teenagers. i also had an excellent visit with my grandparents who, at 84 years of age, shared a story of excitement about how they are still learning new things from God's word! when you have a minute read 2 peter, chapter 3, verses 10 and 11. who knew?
my kiddos are in the most awesome phase of life right now. their demeanor and personality shine through in new ways each and every day and my love for them swells more than i think my heart can hold sometimes! this sounds so cliche', but kids really are miraculous. i sat holding my "chip" in my arms yesterday and found it hard to believe she was a perfect blend of me and "poppa c". they grow so quickly, but give me new revelations at every stage along the way.
lastly, my prayers go out today to a family who lost their loved one too soon. i only know this family through mutual friends, but the lives they have influenced go beyond anything they could imagine. may peace be with them as they go through this difficult loss.
stay dry, my friends!
