it is amazing to me how one piece of furniture can make a major difference in how a family interacts! we bought a new couch last week - a three piece sectional that takes up the whole living room. moving that one piece of furniture into our home has changed how we spend our family time together! instead of fragmenting ourselves around the house to read, watch movies, or play, we all have chosen a spot on the couch to claim as our own and we now work to find reasons to sit on the couch together. as silly as this sounds, it is so true! i have already napped more on this couch than on our last one and "poppa c" has done the same. late night t.v. can't seem to keep us from dream land anymore! this couch is great for building forts and the kids have spent hours already with pillows, stuffed animals, and blankets cocooning themselves into their claimed spaces. we found this couch for a major steal and we have expectations that it will not hold up for long; however, the memories it is sure to bring will be worth it. i look forward to seeing all it has to offer in bringing this family of four closer together. who knew?
